Sustane Technologies and Pyrovac Inc. have entered into a long-term strategic alliance that grants Sustane exclusive access to Pyrovac’s advanced reactor technology and related processes for waste plastic processing. This agreement marks a major milestone in scaling circular economy solutions across Canada and internationally.
The initial phase of the agreement includes a contract valued at more than $7 million for the upgrade and expansion of a two-reactor system at Sustane’s facility in Chester, Nova Scotia. More significantly, the partnership grants Sustane exclusive rights to use Pyrovac’s proprietary plastic processing technology under a mutually beneficial growth model.

Pyrovac, based in Quebec, has spent decades developing thermal decomposition technologies that transform industrial and forestry waste into high-value products. This agreement represents the first commercial deployment of Pyrovac’s technology within Sustane’s circular plastics processing platform.
