INTO BIOSTIMULANT AND
Pyrovac's advanced pyrolysis technology transforms almond shells into CoripholTM, a biostimulant agent that has proven to be very effective for crop yields in California. Another product is CoricharTM, a biochar used to enrich agricultural soils, thus reducing the necessity for petroleum-based fertilizers while immobilizing carbon in the soil.
TRANSFORMED INTO BIOCARBON
Pyrovac is working in partnership with Elkem Metal Canada to build a 1,500 kg/hour pilot plant to manufacture biocarbon briquettes. This product is intended to replace fossil-based coal used as a reductant in the production of ferrosilicon. The process will then be extended to other sectors of the metallurgy industry, such as steel mills.
INTO DIESEL, GASOLINE AND
Pyrovac and Polynergy, a subsidiary of the SG Group, are business partners in a $9 M project to build a plant to convert mixed plastics into pyrolytic diesel. Positive test results were obtained in the winter of 2021 with several buses in the public transportation fleet of the City of Montreal. This technology represents a first worldwide and a significant advance in the recovery of non-recyclable plastics.
At Pyrovac, we do everything possible to recover
the entirety of the residues that we transform.
Pyrovac's advanced pyrolysis technology is the result of more than 30 years of scientific research, first in the laboratory, then in process development. The objective has always been to find a winning solution for the valorization of organic waste and residues.
Pyrovac collaborates with large companies to develop concrete and profitable solutions for the treatment of organic waste. Our team of researchers and engineers is currently working closely with its client-partners to optimize the valorization of agricultural and forestry biomass residues and non-recyclable plastics, all in compliance with environmental standards.
Want to build a greener world?
Pyrovac will be growing rapidly over the next few years, offering multiple opportunities for professional advancement.
